Staff Summer Trip to Newport RI

As a big Thank You to all the female admin and clerical staff in the office, we sent them on a day trip to lovely Newport, RI!

They went to The Brick Alley Pub for lunch and had a wonderful time, then they looked around in a few shops.

After lunch, they proceeded to the Breakers and toured that huge, expansive and ornate mansion. Then they went on to the Rose Cliff mansion and took some great photos of the grounds and gardens. The Cliff Walk on the edge was a breathtaking sight!

After that they went to the beach and ran around, enjoying the beautiful day.

Then it was on to dinner at The Landing which looked over the Newport Harbor and all the beautiful boats and seagulls.

It was a wonderful time and everyone at Bay State Envelope was glad to send them in appreciation for all they do for us and for our customers!

Annual Company Golf Event

Every year Bay State Envelope holds their Golf Tournament to get some of the staff together for two days day of teambuilding. Since the founding of the company, the management of Bay State has believed that it is critical to spend a few days away from the office in a more social setting. This fosters better customer service because, invariably we find ourselves discussing customer issues, business trends and workplace situations and learning from each other and solving each others problems.

Recently, we had 4 teams tee up at Golf courses on Cape Cod for a couple of days of teambuilding, camaraderie and unwinding activities. Friday we golfed at Old Barnstable golf course and Saturday we golfed at Bayberry Hills GC in Yarmouth.

Spirit of Boston Harbor Cruise

We celebrated our recent business success with a company cruise in Boston Harbor. on the Spirit of Boston.  It was a beautiful evening as we ate some great food and had some real laughs together for our summer outing!

Retirement Party for Gene Fournier

As the second employee to retire from Bay State Envelope, Gene Fournier was sent off in fine style at a catered barbecue that the whole company attended. Gene’s wife Mickey was in attendance to help us celebrate Gene's long history with the company. We surprised Gene with a handsomely engraved Mantle Barometer to commemorate his many years at Bay State.

Gene came to us in March of 1990 from The Foxboro Company, and actually came out of retirement to work for Bay State Envelope. While here, he held many positions, starting as a Press assistant and eventually being in charge of Grounds and Maintenance where he managed all of the facilities management and upkeep. He was truly a man of many talents and limitless energy and ability, and he left very big shoes to fill!

Gene and his lovely wife Mickey have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 12, 2006...Congratulations to the newlyweds!
